Positive - Negative space

After reading this article, I learned quite a lot of things.

Using the space you're given is an important part in creating an image. For example, using a normal 8.5" by 11" page with the intention of just writing 1 word on it would be a waste, as well as being visually.. unattractive. The blank space will just overpower the word too much.

Also, the NEGATIVE space is important as well, since if there's too much on the screen, some people would feel too overwhelmed from the amount of information on it.

So in general, the most important point I learned from this article was the to effectively balance the negative and positive space.

Don't just focus on the main subject, focus on what isn't being focused on.
